Relative Performance Counts
While the answer key will help you know your score based on your
performance, and eventually your expected rank, it is important to
know that what will finally count for admissions, is the rank one
achieves in the entrance test.
Relative performance counts in entrance tests like AIEEE, where seat allotment will be entirely on the
basis of merit. Top rankers will be given the best of choices in
terms of preferred trades, programs and colleges. In simpler words,
performing better than competitors is more important than
performing well.
Use Rank Estimate Wisely
Use the approximate rank calculation, using answer key, to plan
what colleges you would be looking forward on the basis of your
rank. Using last year cutoffs one can have a fair idea of which
colleges would be offered to him or her during the counseling
sessions. This estimation can help you take important decisions
about other admission opportunities. Knowing your approximate rank
is a useful deduction, if used wisely.
