Hi ! Scoring between 190 – 200. I guess my rank would be 20000+, want to know how to go about counselling ? Which Colleges to apply for and what choices to opt for. I am from TN. So will have HS quota in NIT Trichy. Please help me out. Got Counselling dates in VIT, Amrita & Manipal…want to keep them as a last option. Scored 261 in BITSAT.
The only branch in NIT Trichy that i s close to your rank is Metallurgy. The closing rank of this branch in your category for the year 2008 is around 17000. Other than this branch you may not be able to get admission in NIT Trichy. Similarly you were close to getting a Mechanical or a Civil branch in NIT Silchar (closing rank is around 18000 last year), Textile engineering in NIT Jalandhar (closing rank is around 21000 last year, metallurgy in NIT, Jamshedpur (closing rank is around 17000 last year)
For 261 marks you can expect BITS- Hyderabad but again the top branches may not be possible.
