I need information regarding admission procedure in NITs for AIEEE rank holders.... (Discussion)

Hi,

I have a doubt regarding the admission procedure in NITs. My ward has taken AIEEE and he passed his +2 from Karnataka. He is interested in pursuing computer science from NIT Warangal. As this college is situated in Andhra Pradesh is there any reservation for the students from Andhra Pradesh or the entire seats are given based on the AIEEE All India Rank?

The seats in the NITs are filled up with following criteria:

(i) 50% of the seats in an NIT shall be filled by the eligible candidates who have passed +2 examination from the State in which the NIT is situated. For example, in NIT Warangal 50% seats shall be filled by the eligible candidates who have passed their +2 examination from Tripura.

(ii) Admission in NITs for rest 50% seats would be on All India Merit basis. For these seats candidates would be admitted from amongst All India rank holders in AIEEE.
