AIEEE 2009 Counselling - AIEEE to Conduct Online Counselling for Admissions (Discussion)

In 2009, admission counselling for AIEEE will be conducted through an Online process. The Online counselling process will make it relatively easier for students to select their desired colleges and courses. The Counselling is scheduled to begin in the month of june.

Officials stated that each AIEEE rank holders would be given unique login and password with the help of which students will be able to submit their preferences for stream and colleges from the list mentioned in the website.

AIEEE counseling brochures will be sent to only those candidates who are Eligible for counseling. The complete list of participating institutes (aieee colleges) along with intake capacity in each discipline and category as per reservation through AIEEE-2009, including counseling procedure, counseling schedule and counseling centers would be available on the CCB website in May/June 2009.

Students need to bring the verification documents, as mentioned in the brochure, at the time of counseling/admission. The rationale would be to verify different records regarding identification, age, qualifying examination, state of eligibility and category of the candidate. If students come to the center without proper verification documents then they would be disqualified from the admission process.

  There is no chance to get into NIT, Bhopal. The last student from Madhyapradesh to get into NIT, Bhopal from OBC category last year had an All India Rank of around 29,000.

  Dear ravinder,
  
  Excluding NIT, Trichy and Warrangal you can get into these branches in the other NITs. Also you may not be able to get CSE or ECE but mechanical is possible in NIT Suratkal and Rourkela.
  
  Also, rather than just choosing the branch which is on the top right now, you should choose the branch based upon your interest and the future plans. Remember that the branch which is at the top right now may not remain the same by the time you graduate from the college.

Sir I belong to the state of Himachal Pradesh.My AIR AIEEE Rank is 71,247 category(sc) rank is 2124 and STATE Rank is 327 category rank 21…Plz tell me the best available options for electrical in north India…are there any chances of making it to PEC..?

  You have definite chances to get into your desired stream in NIT, Hamirpur. You may find it a bit tough to get ECE in other NITs in the north.

  If you are looking for NITs, I think you do not have any chances. But if you consider colleges that come after NITs you have definite chances to get into your desired stream.

  If you belong to open category you may not find a seat for the branches specified by you in the top colleges that come under AIEEE. You can get into the colleges that come under AIEEE excluding NITs and other top colleges.

  NIT, Warrangal is out of scope as the last rank for this college under your category is close to 90,000 and it is for the Bio Tech Stream. You have quite low chances to get into NIT Silchar and Raipur. Even in these colleges you may get into Bio Tech stream.
