aieee cutoff scores may be lower than expected - AIEEE 2009 Analysis (Discussion)

AIEEE 2009 had a surprise element in it with the major change in the examination pattern. In 2009 the total number of questions were less as compared to 2008. But the total marks was 432 as compared to just 315 last year. Greater emphasis was given to the conceptual questions.

Out of 30 questions, 24 questions were of 4 marks each with Negative mark 1 for the wrong answer. The remaining 6 questions in each section were of 8 marks each with Negative mark 2 for wrong answers.

It is expected that due to this major change in the pattern of AIEEE 2009 exam the cutoffs this year will be less than by around 12-15%.

hi sureshbhala !!! i i appeard for aiee-2009 n got 133 marks !! m an OBC candidate !! my AI OBC rank is 14567 and AI state rank in OBC categry is 588 !! !! i belong to maharashtra.. do i stand a chance in NIT-nagpur for mechanical , computer or E n TC ?? plz reply as soon as possibl!!

  For your category, the closing rank in NIT, Nagpur for CSE is 14850, ECE it is 13755 and for EEE it is 16868. These are the All India Ranks not the category based ranks. So from your All India Rank you can get an idea about your chances.
